Hendrix is an American Kestrel that came to our classroom on Wednesday, December 18th. Ina is a Short-eared Owl. Freya, the Red-Tailed Hawk. We had a lot of fun visiting with John from the Black Hills Raptor Center. He brought three of the birds from Rapid City, South Dakota. These birds can not be rehabilitated and will live at the Raptor Center for the rest of their lives doing programs to educate people about raptors, conservation, ecosystems, habitats, etc.
